Kitsilano Garden
This backyard garden was already something special during the day. The goal was to make sure it did not disappear after dark.
Each tree was treated individually, with uplights positioned to trace the branch structure and bring out the natural character of the canopy overhead. The pink flowering tree at the back of the garden becomes the focal point of the whole space at night, lit just enough to hold your eye without overwhelming the surrounding greenery. White-barked trees on either side frame the flagstone path and catch the light in a way that feels almost luminous.
